Experience

My software skills are at work allocating employee benefits, originating mortgage loans, tracking billable time, paying service providers for warranty repairs, calculating radar signatures, adding up royalty payments to photographers, and many other tasks that individuals did not want to do with a pencil and paper.

Many people don't like computers much. I try to make computers work for people instead of against them — to work with your business instead of making your business fit into the scheme some programmer thought you should use.

Cost-Effectiveness

The best doesn't have to cost extra. I don't work faster than a less experienced person. The difference is that I make fewer mistakes. You'll find that the last 10% of the job does not require 80% of the time to complete -- instead it actually requires 10% of the time.

Craftsmanship

My applications work well and are visually appealing as well as functional. The controls on the forms line up, the buttons work as expected when you click on them, and the application does not tend to break in strange ways when you use it as intended. You get a user manual, a programmer's reference, and a help file with your application upon completion. These are all signs of the quality of my work.
